Main features- WatzNew can check any html, xml, plain text documents, or any other text documents that can be found on the Web (via HTTP protocol).
- HTTP Proxy support with login/password authentication.
- Support for password-protected pages ('Basic' HTTP Authentication).
- Ability to check unlimited amount of POP3 mailboxes.
- Unique: Ability to use external Perl scripts to check web sites, web-based mailboxes and perform any tasks Perl can do.
- Customizable refresh intervals for each channel.

- Unique: Ability to define search patterns to retrieve only the desired portions of html pages. The extracted html portions can be used then in message templates (to show the channel contents in the list) or in actions.
